Making Christ Known To ALL!

Oak Forest,  Illinois

Worship Assistants (Ushers, Readers & Communion) are always needed for

both services. Monthly sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board in

the narthex. If you have any questions you can talk to Elsie Burk (8:30am

service) or Tina Rybolt (11am service) and Donna Aggen.

Coffee Hour Hosts are needed. Everyone always enjoys a cup of coffee and

goodie after/between services and it seems to be falling on the same folks all

the time. Choose a Sunday every couple of months for you to host or find

someone to host with. All that is involved is making coffee, which is

provided, and putting out treats and cleaning up at the end. There is a sign

up sheet on the bulletin board and if you have any questions please talk with

Michelle Sowa. THANK YOU! Items that can be donated for those hostless

Sundays are, flavored creamer, cookies, crackers, items that can be frozen,

etc. Regular and Decaf Coffee is always needed.

LOVE SUNDAY - 1st Sunday of each month we help  ST. STEPHEN'S FOOD PANTRY stock  their shelves.  Please consider donating non-perishable items, especially proteins.  Leave your generous donation in the corridor and it will be delivered to St. Stephen's Lutheran church once a month.  Thank you.

 As we enter the season of Pentecost on June 4th, join Pastor Mary in exploring “The One Anothers”.  Love one another, pray for one another, bear one another’s burdens, rejoice with one another, etc.  You’d be amazed at how many times the bible uses that phrase for life within community. Sign up for Sundays @ 9:45a or Tuesdays @ 6:00p.

OAK FEST - June 29 through Tuesday, July 4th

Resurrection needs volunteers to work at Oak Fest held at 159th & Lorel (east of Food4Less) on Thursday, June 29 through Tuesday, July 4.  They ask non-profit organizations from Oak Forest to work shifts at the fest and the final profit is distributed to each group as payment per hour worked.

We asked to work 250 hours and last year we were paid $35.80 per hour! That adds up to almost $9,000.00!!! This is a great opportunity to give to Resurrection by donating your time!

Our shifts are posted on the Narthex bulletin board.  Please sign up for a shift or two!  Sign up with a friend or two!  We will provide you with a free parking pass to be used on the day you work. None of the jobs are difficult and you get to enjoy the fest while you are there. You will be helping the community and Resurrection at the same time!

If you are at the festival and not signed up to work you can go to the personnel booth and ask if you can volunteer for Group #1 Resurrection!  Please call Patti Tregoning @ 708-945-4712 or email patregoning@gmail.com if you have any questions or want more information.

This summer travel to Egypt with us to meet Joseph while we journey with him from prison to palace.  In the upcoming weeks we will be looking for volunteers and donations to help us bring Joseph’s story into our community with music, food, crafts, games, bible lessons and more.  Mark your calendars and be a part of this very special ministry.  Flyers will also be available to share with your neighbors, family and friends.  We look forward to working with everyone on this great adventure.  Please talk with Michelle Sowa if you have any questions. THIS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO REACH OUT TO THE YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
